Preparation

  1. Prior to application, ensure the surface is thoroughly and mechanically clean and dry, free from dust, grease, oil, wax and care product residues and finishes – this process is most effective when applying Turbo Strip with the grey PU renovation pad.

Initial protection and/or restoration

  1. Apply a first coat of Dr. Schutz or Eukula water-based lacquer evenly with the Aquatop Roller.
  2. Allow the surface to dry for the time suggested according to the product being applied.
  3. Mix R10 Additive in a ratio of 1:10 with the lacquer. Only when the desired quantity of lacquer has been mixed should the corresponding amount of cross-linker be added.
  4. Apply the top coat evenly with 50 ml/m².

Coverage: 5 g/m2

When applying lacquer of 50 ml/m² with additive at a ratio of 1:10. (Range: 100 m²/0,5l)

R10 Additive

  • Carefully add R10 Additive to any water-based lacquer or sealer such as PU Sealer or PU Anticolor or any Eukula wood products, in a mix-ratio of 10:1 (500 ml into 5 litre) and stir thoroughly before use.
  • R10 Additive is a liquid compound additive which adds a textured surface to the floor, thereby increasing the safety and slip-resistance of the floor.
  • Additive must only be added when two coats are applied and is used for the top coat only – recommended for use by professionals only.
  • Factory protective finishes must be removed completely before applying PU Sealer or PU Anticolor.
  • Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation but avoid exposure to drafts and strong sunlight during application and drying processes and protect the surface from dust.
  • Turn off under-floor central heating in good time prior to use.
  • Mixing into a lower coat of lacquer does not affect the sealing function, but does not contribute to slip resistance, either.
  • If mixed lacquer or sealer is stored for time, it must be carefully stirred up again.
